3 Day Sailing Camp (11-15yrs)

Overview

This course is designed to provide a fun, safe and enjoyable opportunity for young sailors to advance their sailing skills and a little taster of windsurfing.

Groups will be split at the beginning of the camp based on ability, we will have a teen beginners group as well as an advanced group. The groups will then merge once we have covered the basics with the beginners. We will also take feedback from the students themselves on particular items they would like to work on. It is about making the students more independent as sailors, build their confidence and water awareness.

We supply the safety equipment, the boats and the instructors. You don’t need to buy any special equipment as you should be able to find all of the required clothing already in your wardrobe. An information sheet will be supplied with your enrolment form that lets you know what clothing and gear to bring along.

Our aim is to have confident sailors going home with exciting tales of their adventures at the end of each day.

All of our activities are determined by the weather, we endeavour to have the participants out on the water as much as possible but our main priority is safety. Should the weather be deemed unsafe for the allocated activity, we will either switch to another or run on land activities.

It is always our priority to get the participants out Sailing, weather permitting.

As always we are looking forward to welcoming our next group of sailors.

Inclusions

Our 3 day Sailing camps provide a safe and fun introduction to small boat sailing during the school holidays.

All courses include an introduction to boat handling skills, the basics of sailing, confidence in the boat and water safety, all while having a heap of fun with other kids!

Our aim is to have happy, confident sailors going home with excited tales of their sailing adventures at the end of each day.

Times of the courses: Complimentary early drop off starts at 8.30am with a selection of games  and activities before the camp starts. Camps run from 09:30 till 3pm each day. Pickup is between 3pm and 5.30pm (kids can help de-rigging, play some games, watch a movie)
